Our leadership
Head Instructor
6th-degree black belt under Royler Gracie (Gracie Humaita) and a 4x IBJJF World Champion in the roosterweight division.
A multiple-time IBJJF World, Pan American and Brazilian Nationals champion, Omar brings over 30 years of training, competing and teaching. He founded and leads successful Jiu-Jitsu programs across California, including Gracie Humaita Hemet.
He is known for his humility, his personal attention to every student, and a strong sense of community.

After more than 21 years in the automotive industry, David chose to pursue something bigger: the dream of an academy where people of all ages and backgrounds could challenge themselves, build confidence, and feel welcome from their first step on the mats.
A dedicated blue belt and active practitioner, and a father of four, David founded the academy in January 2026, with Professor Omar Salum as Head Instructor. Behind the scenes he oversees daily operations, the student experience and the academy's growth.
You don't have to be the best to begin. You just have to be willing to start.

Meet the instructors
Patient and detail-driven, Anthony teaches kids, teens and adults, helping students understand why a technique works and how to make it work better.
Brittney began training in 2020 and found a passion for teaching. She leads every session with one goal: that her partners walk away having learned something.
With over 20 years on the mats and a lifelong passion for No-Gi, Henry brings technical precision and a love of teaching to every class.
Events & promotions
Our very first belt promotion ceremony. Around 14 students will be promoted. Come celebrate the whole team's progress.
Have your friend mention your name when they sign up. The member with the most new paying referrals wins. Call or text us to get started.
